Management

Wendy Snowden 

Manager / Safeguarding lead, Level 3 Diploma, Paediatric first aid, management and leadership. 

Wendy has worked at Cliffe Woods Preschool as Manager since 2006.

Wendy started her career in childcare in 1998 at Honeypot preschool in Cliffe.

“I enjoy working with the families in the community and seeing their children start with us and leave to go to Primary school as happy confident little people. I feel my biggest achievement was the fundraising and taking part in the organisation of the build of the new preschool in 2018”

Raya Ellis 

Manager / Safeguarding lead, Level 3 Diploma, Paediatric first aid, management and leadership.

Raya has worked at Cliffe Woods Preschool since 2006, Firstly as a Supervisor then becoming Manager in 2011. She started her career in 2000 at Honeypot preschool in Cliffe.

I have worked my way from a volunteer committee member, through to a management position. Cliffe woods preschool is not just a job for me but a passion, I have enjoyed working with the children and one of my biggest achievement’s to date would be the preschool building and the fight to keep the preschool running”

 

Caterpillar Room

Lilly Snowden – Room Supervisor 

Special needs Coordinator, Level 3 Diploma, Paediatric first aid.

Lilly has been the room leader of the Caterpillar room since September 2020. Lilly started her career at the preschool in June 2014.

“I started my career at Cliffe Woods preschool as an apprentice and continued on to do my qualifications in childcare level 2 and 3. I enjoy my own growth alongside helping the children with theirs.”

Susan Ford – Practitioner 

Level 3 Diploma, Paediatric first aid.

Susan started working at Cliffe Woods Preschool in January 2007 and gained her Level 2 qualification in 2008 followed by her level 3. Sue is also currently the supervisor in the before and after school club.

“I like settling the children into preschool and watching them learn and explore their new environment. I enjoy my role at the preschool, building relationships with the children and parents.”

Mollie Fairclough – Practitioner 

Level 2, Paediatric first aid.

Mollie started her apprenticeship at Cliffe Woods Preschool in September 2018 and currently holds a level 2 qualification. Mollie is hoping to further her career and start training for level 3.

“I enjoy working with the children and watching them grow and develop. I love interacting with all the children at the preschool.”

Kerry Thorpe – Practitioner 

Level 3 Early Years, Paediatric first aid.

I have worked in childcare for 6 years and have worked for Cliffe Woods Preschool, since November 2020 in the caterpillar room. I am currently doing a degree in childhood and youth studies at the open university.

“I enjoy watching children grow and exploring the ways in which they learn through play.”

 

Butterfly Room

Emma Clare – Room Supervisor 

Special needs Coordinator, Level 5 Foundation Degree in Childhood studies, Paediatric first aid.

Emma has been the room leader of the butterfly room since September 2020. Emma started her career at the preschool in January 2017.

“Since I started helping out and covering staff holidays it sparked an interest in children and the way they develop. I am proud of my own progression and achievements.”

Mal Deville – Practitioner 

Level 3 Diploma, Paediatric first aid.

Mal started working at Cliffe Woods Preschool in 1997 and left as Supervisor in 2004 to work at a full day nursery. Mal returned to Cliffe Woods Preschool in January 2016.

“I’ve always loved working with children. watching them grow and develop alongside the preschool itself, I started my journey here and I attend to see my last working years here too!”

Shannon Webb – Practitioner 

 Level 2, Paediatric first aid.

Shannon joined Cliffe Woods Preschool in October 2018 she currently holds a level 2 qualification she would like to further her career and complete her Level 3.

“I love to help and watch the children grow and I enjoy my working environment.”

Kellie Ford – Practitioner 

Level 2, Paediatric first aid.

I left secondary school in 2019 with multiple qualifications including a distinction in level 2 health and social care. I began work experience at the preschool and thoroughly enjoyed working with the children and watching them learn new things. I have been fortunate enough to be offered an apprentice.
